Creamy foam!
The soap is handmade in Switzerland using artisan techniques, and is cold-saponified.
Cold saponification is an ecological and economical alternative to the hot-saponified mass-produced soaps. Our gentler method means that the benefits of the oils, glycerine, essential oils and other natural substances are preserved, so that the soap retains its valuable nourishing properties.
We use Tulsi in our artisan soap, that we carefully cultivate in our garden in Valais. These are the leaves and flowers that delicately adorn the soap, making each bar unique.
Tulsi is also known as Holy Basil, and is known in India as ‘the Queen of plants’ for its unique properties.

The gentle sweet smell will float towards you and also help to take care of your skin. This soap gently cleanses and provides skin comfort without tightness. To make your soap last longer, let it dry on a soap holder after use.
1. What does it mean when you say that soap is cold-saponified ?
The cold-saponification process requires time and lots of manual intervention, so it isn’t really suited to mass production and tends to be the preserve of artisan soapmakers who prioritise quality over quantity. To really make the best artisan soap, it is vital that the right ingredients are chosen, and so we opted for organic-certified materials wherever possible, as well as natural colorants, thereby limiting the environmental impact of our soaps wherever possible. Another benefit is that this gentle production method saves a lot of energy. Cold-saponification means that the mix is given time to saponify, this being around 4 to 6 weeks. The slow method means that the ingredients’ properties are retained.
2. What is superfatted soap ?
Superfatted soap is made using the same recipe as traditional soap, but is enriched with superfatting nutritive agents such as vegetable oils and vegetable butters. The superfatting agents mean that the soap cleans without drying while also hydrating and protecting the skin.
3. Is your soap suitable for skin that is dry, sensitive or atopic ?
We have carefully developed a formula whose ingredients are 100% natural, and free of controversy. What’s more, our superfatted and cold-saponified soap is a genuine skincare product as it retains the benefits of the oils, butters, glycerine, essential oils and other natural substances that it contains – hugely beneficial for skin that is sensitive, dry or atopic. Unlike traditional soap, our soap is enriched with superfatting nutritive agents that clean the skin without drying it out.
4. Is your soap free of palm oil ?
The soap base we use contains no palm oil! It contains 4 vegetable oils including coconut oil, sunflower oil, shea butter, and cocoa butter.
